In this article, we’ll be discussing some of Miami’s top attractions, the first of which is South Beach.

South Beach is located close to the popular Biscayne Bay. Just next to the beach itself, you’ll find an abundance of shops and outdoor cafes, where you can pick up a few bargains, and then sit back with an iced coffee and people-watch for a few hours. The beach itself is always busy, with plenty of people sunbathing, strolling along the sand, swimming in the crystal clear waters, or playing Frisbee or volleyball. This area is just as lively at night time, if not more so, as people come here to drink and dance at the local bars.

Another spot which Southall Travel customers recommend is Miami ‘Seaquarium’; this is one of the largest oceanariums in the entire country, and attracts more than six hundred thousand visitors annually. It houses a huge variety of marine mammals, as well as reptiles, sea turtles, sharks and exotic fish. There are a total of eight marine animal shows each day, and visitors also have the opportunity to swim with dolphins.

Monkey Jungle is also popular with many tourists; this park is situated in the Cutler Bay area, and is home to over thirty species of primates. There are approximately four hundred creatures that call this place home, all of whom are free to roam around the grounds. The tagline which Monkey Jungle uses is ‘where the monkeys are free, and the humans are caged’, as the visitors have to walk through enclosed tunnels in order to see the animals. There is also a small, semi-natural tropical rainforest (the only one of its kind in North America).

Nature enthusiasts will love the Everglades National Park; with over a million acres of sub-tropical jungles, saw grass prairies and swamps, it is certainly of the USA’s most unique parks. It is home to fourteen endangered, rare species, including the West Indian Manatee, the Florida Panther and the American Crocodile. Although some areas of the park are not suitable for tourists, there are plenty of safe walkways and grassy areas where visitors can hike and camp.
